The “Support Program for the Sustainable Development of Savannah and Degraded Forest Areas” (PSFD) is a 5-year initiative funded by CAFI through FONAREDD and implemented by AFD in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Livestock (MAPE). With a total budget of USD 15 million, the program aims to promote sustainable land use practices among smallholder farms and agricultural SMEs in the provinces of Kwilu and Tshopo in the Democratic Republic of Congo. By strengthening advisory services and access to finance, PSFD supports local economies, preserves forest landscapes, and reduces pressure on natural resources.
